In the same vein as Microsoft’s Songsmith in that it was a music thingy, Electro-Harmonix’s Voice Box is a gem of a thing.
It goes way beyond a conventional vocoder, utilizing the slave input from an instrument (the video shows an acoustic guitar) to harmonize with the master input (in this case, vocals). The end result is pretty kick-ass. I’m not slobbering to get one of these stat, but I do like the twisty-knob aspect of the device as well as the overall aural effect. Nice work, Electro-Harmonix.
